Overview

Villa Spini Bianchi sea view villa. Villa "Spini Bianchi", Monte Argentario means “the silver mountain” a promontory that emerges from the Tuscan coast line with a beautiful coastline of rocky outcrops, small bays with deep blue water and three charming fishing villages. Spini Bianchi is set on its own in total privacy on the most remote point, enjoying incredibly beautiful views of the coast line and facing the island of Giglio.

The owners wanted something earthy, so they have used a lot of recovered drift wood and have created something really special, with a lot of attention for detail and comfort as a large shaded area where one lives, enjoying the breeze and incredible views. There are four bedrooms, two in the main part of the building, two below the sun terrace with ensuite bathrooms.

There private infinity-edge swimming pool is set two terraces below the old farmhouse and a recently installed astro turf tennis court further down the hillside cut into the side of the cliff in a stunning location. Walk past the tennis court following the private road and it leads you down to the water, where the owners have added a platform for sun bathing and swimming. The charming fishing village of Santo Stefano is 20 mins away with a wide selection of shops and restaurants with a beautiful white beach, La Gianella nearby.

Well equipped kitchen and sitting room both leading out to a terracotta terrace with a pergola furnished for both al fresco dining and relaxing. First double Air-conditioned bedroom leading out to the garden with an en suite bathroom with shower. Second air conditioned double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with shower, accessible from either the first bedroom or directly from the garden. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Exterior:

A very lovely informal terraced garden bordered by a manicured olive grove, palm trees, rosemary and broom flowers with rocky cliffs above. A pergola wraps around the main house with a seating area and an alfresco dining area leading out to the terrace furnished with day bed for soaking up the sun’s rays. Summer kitchen with fixed barbecue and sink. To one side a pathway leads down to the private infinity-edge swimming pool, 4 x 9m/13 x 30 feet, in full view of the sea, to the other a wide path leads down to private tennis court which sits prominently on a lower terrace with stunning views out to sea. The pathway continues down to the sea (about 10 minutes walk downhill and 15 minutes uphill) where you have a platform furnished with sun loungers and a canvas for shade.

Private pool:

The private infinity-edge swimming pool, 9 x 4m /30 x 13 feet, has a depth of 1-1.7m/3-5 feet with no steps or ladder for entry/exit.

Assistance:

Assistance is provided locally by the property's very affable onsite caretaker, who speaks very little English. Services included in the rental fee, and optional services available, are noted under Price and Availability.

The initial deposit required to confirm the reservation, which must be paid at the time of booking, is 25% of the total rental amount.

Exact directions to the villa or apartment will be sent after the booking is complete.

Pets:

Dogs allowed but please note that in August the dog of the owner is free on the property. Meet Point Travel must be aware of your pet (size, weight etc) in advance of your arrival so that appropriate arrangements can be made. A €200 non-refundable cleaning fee may be charged upon arrival. Additional charges for damage may be assessed. Pets are not permitted on any furniture, nor in the pool. Guests are responsible for pet waste clean inside the villa and throughout the property grounds.

Distances

On the slopes of a sparsely inhabited promontory at the western extreme of Monte Argentario. The nearest shops and restaurants are at Porto Santo Stefano, a very winding 6km/4 miles. Orbetello - and the presqu'ile's supermarket - are 20 minutes' drive. Porto Ercole, about 25 minutes. Capalbio, on the mainland, is 45 minutes away, as are the spectacular hiking trails of the Monti dell'Uccellina nature reserve. Further inland, 50 minutes, is the lovely Maremma hill town of Magliano in Toscana.

Railway station at Orbetello Scalo, 45 minutes. Monte Argentario is reached via Tuscany’s coastal road, which is excellent although not a motorway. Two long causeways stretch from the mainland to the presqu’ile, where the roads are notoriously twisting and often steep leading to the gated entrance. Parking for three cars.
